Whickham to Beamish (Sanctuary Way Stage 1)

12 mile circular walk from Beamish to Whickham as part of The Sanctuary Way which goes from Whickham to York. The walk is full of the rich history of this area, taking in old steam trains and country manor houses.

Cotherstone to Egglestone Abbey (Teesdale Way)

A 9 mile circular riverside and woodland walk from Barnard Castle to Cotherstone. The walk takes in two ruined castles and a ruined abbey.
