Medomsley Circular on New Paths

A 10-mile circular walk around Medomsley in County Durham, using much of the Derwent Walk. The walk goes through ancient woodland, roman remains and historic mining areas, with excellent views.

Waskerley Way – A Route Created and a Route Destroyed

A 12 mile circular walk starting from the almost abandoned railway village if Waskerley. The walk uncovers much of the area’s railway and mining past as well as some high moorland walking and excellent butterfly areas.

Castle Eden, Hesleden and Hurworth Burn Reservoir

A 12 mile circular walk from Castle Eden through the Denes of the area with some excellent woodland walking and birdlife to be seen. The walk also incorporates some of the railway history of the area.
